Only 1% of global biodiversity data comes from the ​world's largest rainforests. We're changing this by ​turning local communities into Indigenous scientists ​and help organisations build equitable data products ​that can preserve nature.

We co-design equitable AI ​for nature

Meet Taina, our AI Assistant that guides local and ​Indigenous communities through storytelling on how to ​archive and share knowledge. The locally collected ​data can be self-hosted or governed through a ​community-elected GainForest Data Council.

We pay conservation ​data income

We are pioneering decentralized data collection ​as a sustainable income source for communities. ​Our community-elected GainForest Data Council ​sets the current prices for data.

We research and ​innovate together

Based on collected high-quality data, our ​Nonprofit hosts annual hackathons in ​Switzerland and globally to innovate together on ​AI and data visualisations for nature.
